Description

2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Learn the few key things to get your orchids to grow and bloom!

Phalaenopsis is the orchid genus most commonly sold in grocery stores and big nurseries. Class participants will walk away with a fresh new orchid and the steps to keep it thriving!

Join Brandi Eide, horticulturist and designer of the World of Orchids exhibition, to cover the basics of Phalaenopsis care.
(Update as of 5/16/25: The instructor has changed due to prior instructor's unavailability for personal reasons. She completely entrusts Brandi to teach this class!).

You will learn:

  • How these orchids grow in nature, and what that tells you about how to successfully cultivate them in your home.
  • All about orchid watering, light, temperature, blooming and re-blooming.

Class fee includes: class instruction, orchid to take home, and World of Orchid Combo Ticket (valued at $25) which includes full garden admission.

Class fee: Members $30, non-members $45
(Login for member pricing. Price changes AFTER you click "Add to Cart")

Please register by May 20. Due to the likelihood of selling out, we recommend purchasing your ticket sooner than later.  If walk-ups are available, this page will update on event day.
